International Commercial Courts in Europe

via Zoom - 5PM BST

July 1 2021

Thursday 1 July 2021, 5pm BST, via Zoom

Almost two years since the Circuit last heard from judges and practitioners about new international commercial courts, we invite you to our latest webinar, where an eminent panel of speakers will report back from the frontline of English-language commercial dispute resolution in Europe. As well as providing an overview of the procedural rules that apply in the different courts, the speakers will consider issues such as the extent to which these new courts have already had to adapt due to unanticipated challenges, the nature and number of disputes heard thus far and the response of local practitioners to these new fora. Finally, the panel will consider opportunities that might arise for cross-border practitioners from the existence of the new courts, including any requirements for qualifications and admission to local bars.
